Tue 28th January 2025 09:30 – 5 miles – Easy
A Walk Within Nottinghamshire
We all wish Allan well in his recovery from major surgery. In the meantime his and Kath's Tuesday walks will be led by other members of the leader team, in this case by Dick B.
Rainworth Water and Fountaindale.
Start point: Main Road (B6020) towards Blidworth. Parking on broad grass verges on the bend before or opposite the Riding Stables (former Telephone Exchange )
Route: Field path to Blidworth Field Lane--New Lane and Cross Lane to Providence Farm--Rainworth Water and Fountaindale--Little John Inn. Several undulations, one stile, may be muddy (where isn't at the moment unless frosty?)
Distance: 5 miles to the Little John, 5.5 to the parked cars.
Start time: 9.30 Ravenshead shops, 9.45 Riding Stables.
N.B. Ravenshead villagers may wish to walk to the B6020 start point and home from the Little John.
Offers to plan and lead these walks as Allan returns to full health and vigour would be welcome (details to Brian or Dick who are happy to help).
